Privacy Notice

Red Nickel Records knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting Red Nickel Records, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

What Customer Information Does Red Nickel Records Gather?

Information You Give Us:

We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way. Your name, address, email address, credit card number and expiration date are primary examples of what we collect. You can choose not to provide certain information, like your email address, but then we might not be able to contact you directly in case of a problem. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, processing your order, shipping your order, and communicating with you.

Automatic Information:

We do not use cookies or any other type of automatic identifiers at this time. This is not to say that we won't in the future as we improve the web site.
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are written to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable the sender's systems to recognize your browser and to provide features such as storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits.
The "help" program of most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, we recommend that you leave them turned on. Any change in our use or non-use of automatic identifiers will be reflected in this Privacy Notice.

E-mail Communications:

We do not receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from Red Nickel Records if your computer supports such capabilities. We do not compare our customer list to lists received from other companies. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please email us at email address not active yet with the word "REMOVE" in the Subject line.

Information from Other Sources:

We do not get any information about you from any outside sources.

Selling and/or Sharing Information

Basic information about our customers is an integral part of our business, so we are not in the business of selling it to others. We do not share customer information with anyone or any business/organization. Period.

Business Transfers:

As Red Nickel Records continues to grow, we might sell or buy stores or assets. When we started Red Nickel Records we built our mailing list from scratch and did not purchase or in any other way acquire an existing list of email adresses. In such transactions, however, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. In the unlikely event that Red Nickel Records, or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will in all likelihood be one of the transferred assets. In such an instance a notice of said transaction will be sent to the current email list. An option to be removed from the list will be offered.

Protection of Red Nickel Records and Others:

We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Red Nickel Records, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies, organizations and agencies for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

If Things Change:

Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

How Secure Is Information About Me?

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order.

What Choices Do I Have?

As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information on-line, even though it might be needed to make a purchase. In that case you will have to contact us by telephone or postal mail.
If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please email us at email address not active yet with the word "REMOVE" in the Subject line. (If you elect to not receive email from us, and we send out notices of changes to the Conditions of Use Agreement and other such legal notices, such as this Privacy Notice, those notices will still govern your use of Red Nickel Records, and it is your responsibility to review the Conditions of Use Agreement and other such legal notices, such as this Privacy Notice for changes.)
